Kimberly-Clark de México’s position on packaging

At Kimberly-Clark de México, being aware of the importance of our products for Mexicans, we seek to assemble and protect them in the most efficient and environmental-friendly manner. The materials used in our packages meet all analysis requirements and protocols of our partner Kimberly-Clark Corporation, also ensuring, besides a global approach, that they are free of any prohibited or restricted chemicals in our product portfolio.

We prioritize the use of single-material packages that are duly identified to facilitate recycling thereof. Identification abides by the globally used standard classification “ASTM International Resin Identification Coding System”.

We have defined certain objectives that promote the use of recycled materials in our packages.

We do not use any prodegradant agents or additives that may generate any microplastics or prevent the possibility of being recycled.

We describe in the wet wipes packages the proper process to dispose them, based on the most stringent standard decision criterion “GD4” by the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (“INDA”) and the European Disposables and Nonwovens Association (“EDANA”).

We use heavy metal-free inks for printings regarding all our packages and require our suppliers the use thereof.
